Continued Inspiration Of A Different Sort

This on was inspired by a photograph my friend Josh J. took.

Thinker

I sit on the roof,
And watch things grow,
Waiting for Them to fall,
Fall into my head.

There they will burrow,
And sit as still as I am,
Waiting for the time,
When they begin to flourish,
Each branch inspiring something new.

And as each one falls past my head,
I will continue to sit,
And watch as things grow.

Poetry is Fun!

Night Travel

The engine murmurs,
And rumbles lullabies,
As Lights overhead repeatedly check,
To make sure I’m sleeping all right,
In a trance,
Cars ebb by,
I blink,
And suddenly I am home.

A Little Poetry To Bide The Time

A Walk Through Œther

Arms out knees bent
Rise and face the wind
As it whips and mocks
Buffets and runs through
As if the slightest whisper could topple
And Shatter the frame
So full of life and wonder
Glass hopes, translucent dreams
Winds come
Run their course
And go…
But the dream stands and reflects
And the air ceases to shift

Two Weeks And No Music (Cold Turkey Sucks)

Hey everybody! Just to let you know I recently had surgery on my left wrist. I had a ganglian cyst about the size of a golf ball removed from the top of my wrist. I wore a brace for a week and got my stiches out yesterday. Another week and I should be back in the saddle! During my time of no instruments I've had a lot of time to think and write, and I have lots of songs in the works. Hopefully I will be able to bring you them someday. The original versions will be me and my acoustic guitar, but some might make it to the band, and then that to will be recorded and shared. Drop me a line, and I promise the music is comin' soon!

I'm On A Roll

Before you read this start three posts down and it will make more sense. Actually I felt bad that you got to see Neil and not Ricky so here are some cool pics of him: of course he has short hair now, but this is the best I can do.

Like....Whoa.......

It is very rare that I post so close together. Please don't let this post deter you from reading the one below it. I found this photo of me and my two best friends. Admitedly not the best picture of me, but it made me smile. From left to right: Josh J., Neil L., ME!!!!

Prospects for The Future

Let me say one thing and make myself perfectly clear. The future scares the crap out of me, but I cannot wait for tomorrow to become today.

As my leaving Red Means Go becomes more and more a reality, I have been writing and creating. Hopefully some of this will make it onto this blog. I am also looking into forming a band with fellow ex-Red Means Go member Ricky W. We are currently training a friend of ours Neil L. to play the bass. If I've learned one thing from being in Red Means Go it's that everyone can be a great musician, but it doesn't matter if they can't work together. Ricky, Neil, and I have worked together musically in the past with astounding results, not to mention that we are all really good friends. So join me in welcoming tomorrow, and praying that it doesn't kick my ass.

A Parting of Ways

It seems that during my vacation two members of my band were practicing with other people, and they have decided to kick me out. I'm a little sad about it, but its probably for the best. Now I can concentrate on doing my own thing instead of trying to accomodate their musical tastes. I'll try to be in touch soon.
